Lions Club of Waynesburg
Several annual fund raisers/ membership dues.
Club organized to raise funds primarily for the blind and for eye-related problems. Also help sponsor the Special Olympics; honor a high school girl and boy each month; contribute to the Boys Scouts, Little League, and various other community projects. Program for eligible individuals who need assistance with purchasing hearing aids ($200 copay) and must visit a specified medical center in Pittsburgh.

The Waynesburg Lions Club maintains a "Sight Committee" which reads through applications to determine the eligiblity of local low-income residents in need of glasses.
The Waynesburg club also supports Beacon Lodge, a camp for the blind and handicapped located in Mt.Union, PA.
Lions Clubs from all over the world also contribute financial support to the Leader Dogs for the Blind Program, which enhances the lives of blind people with guide dogs.
Fundraising events include: Christmas nut sale and Christmas tree sale. Sponsor community events including the Halloween Parade and special activities for the Fourth of July. Collect old eyeglasses---First Federal Bank in Waynesburg is a drop-off site.
The Waynesburg Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at the Lions Park Community building. The meeting starts promptly at 6:15 PM. A catered dinner is served at the cost of $10 per person.
Fees/Cost for Services
Membership dues are $70 per year.
By invitation only; 18 year of age & over.
